Today was our first workout and it went surprisingly well despite the obvious jet lag. The workout was very spirited as the boys were anxious to work up a sweat and get stretched out, after being in a plane for over 10 hours. After our practice we went to a nearby restaurant and had a tasty lunch before embarking on our tour of the Gothic quarter and the famous La Ramblas. We traveled to the Gothic quarter using the local light rail system which is a very convenient and efficient way to travel around the city. During the 4 hour tour we saw many of the 13th century buildings that marked the beginning of Barcelona, such as the great cathedral and the Royal Palace. After a full day it was back to the hotel for a much needed nap, followed by dinner at one of our favourite restaurants from our last trip, cafe Verona and to bed. Tomorrow will be our first exhibition game before the tournament that begins on January 3rd. Good night from Barcelona.
