Day 4

After a full day on new year's eve, new year's day was extremely quiet as I let the boys sleep in and we canceled our team training as I anticipated. Instead we lounged around the hotel and explored the surrounding neighbourhood to find that very few shops were open. In the early afternoon we traveled to the city centre, La Ramblas and walked around a little to once again find that most of the shops were closed despite the thousands of people walking about. We had lunch at the Hard Rock cafe and headed back to the hotel for a siesta. The plan after the siesta was to go to a movie however, most were still asleep at 9pm so our day ended with an early sleep that was probably much needed. Tomorrow we practice and visit the stadium from the 1992 Olympic games. Good night.
